GIGCAR subscription is far more accessible than alternatives like car finance or lease arrangements.

Even if you have poor credit history, it's likely you can still be approved for a GIGCAR subscription membership.

GIGCAR considers every application individually, but there are also some basic criteria that all subscribers need to meet:

• Hold a valid Australian (P2 or above) or equivalent international drivers license that has not been cancelled or suspended in the past 3 years
• Be at least 21 years old and not over 75 years old
• Not have had any criminal, drink or drug driving convictions in the last 5 years
• Not have made two or more motor insurance claims in the last 3 years

We currently operate out of hubs in Sydney, Darwin, Canberra and Wollongong.

Customers from anywhere in NSW, ACT, VIC, QLD and NT are also welcome to subscribe to GIGCAR.

It's important to note that customers outside of our main hubs may need to pay a higher security deposit, and delivery fees apply if you choose not to collect the vehicle from one of our hub locations.

Yes, you can nominate up to 5 additional drivers to use the car as rideshare drivers.

A weekly fee of $30 is payable for each additional driver.

Unlike a lease, with a GIGCAR subscription there are no long-term contracts and no balloon payments.

‍Simply subscribe to drive with a minimum commitment, then simply return your car as your needs change.

A car lease typically locks you in for up to four years and there can often be a big payment to make at the end of a lease. If you cancel a lease before the end there can be large penalties for breaking the contract.

Something that is unique to GIGCAR subscriptions is that you have the option to swap to a different car as your needs change - something you certainly don't get from a vehicle lease!

For example, maybe Uber XL has recently been offered in your city and you would like to swap your Mid-size SUV for an 8 seat Minivan to drive for UberXL. As long as you have met the minimum qualifying period, you are able to swap your car for a different make and model.

GIGCAR covers the cost of car ownership, including registration, comprehensive insurance, rideshare checks and licensing, vehicle service & maintenance, 24x7 roadside assistance and tyre care. You only need to add fuel and pay tolls.

With your GIGCAR costs all included in your subscription, you can focus on getting out and providing a great service to your passengers, knowing that we’ve got your back.

We will consider people with no credit history or who have recently been put out of work. Our aim is to help you get into a GIGCAR with no long-term contracts, so you can start earning again straight away.

You can drive your GIGCAR as long as you want and hand it back when you’re ready.

Safety and security for on-demand drivers is our number one priority at GIGCAR. We provide the safest cars (5 star ANCAP Ratings) with dedicated GPS tracking supported by 24x7 emergency assistance. We also provide safe driver training.

So with GIGCAR skills, knowledge and technology you can feel confident about working safely as an on-demand driver.
